This band is off and running fast. Under the leadership of Sister Elaine May.

This book is very easy reading, but the book goes again the grain of what our church says about women in the ministry.

Greetings to the National Family Ministry Grant Committee; How wonderful is it when fellow believers show love through encouragement the way your committee has done. The funds that you blessed our District UCWM made a great impact on our teens and preteens lives. This grant made it possible for us to do more activities with our Daughters of Esther. Some of the young ladies have been blessed to develop a sisterly love because of the experiences given them with various workshops and activities.

Attached you will find a few pictures showing some of many activities that were provided.

As outlined in our original proposal, the United Christian Women’s Ministry of New Life Church of Christ (Holiness) USA, designed a program to aid in building families through the Family Focus Network Initiative. This initiative is designed to provide support and training for parents and youth in promoting stable home environments. We intend to build upon the work performed by Minister Lindsay and establish a network of trained counselors and facilitators who will be utilized to meet the challenges faced by urban families.

Our goals were met in providing a forum for our women to have open and honest discussion on issues that they face everyday, which also afforded us the opportunities to more effectively minister to their needs. The Daughters of Esther also had their session and it proved both beneficial and entertaining to them as well.

As we concluded our classes, our brotherhood served a wonderful meal which gave the ladies a chance to fellowship and get to know each other.

Following is a brief synopsis of 2008 grant winners:
